Sunday

Today was a huge day for my family as well as our church family. My brother in law Chris Bennett was installed as the senior pastor of our church, Christ the Rock. It was an amazing day. I usually don't use crazy out there analogies but, at the service today you could feel a tangable change of God's presence in the air. I say this with no doubt, CTR is about to explode. We've seen glimpses of what God wants to do here but, today you could feel the new mantle of a double portion anointing. That's a lot of Christianese I know but, I'm not kidding, it was powerful. I'm so excited to be supporting Chris' vision for the future. He's an amazing leader. What exciting times!!!

Sorry I'm just getting to write again. My computer is dead in the water. Today worship was fab. We did a new song I wrote for the offeratory. It's called "Breathe On Us." It's this ramping piano balad. It was received well. It really got something special o it. I can't wait to demo it up.

The lyrics are about how crazy the "noise" of life is and by God's grace getting past it. I was just struck by how many times in the bible we see it said God is in the silence.
God is in the breathing. That's the only sound remaining in total silence if life is still occuring. Deep.

I've got a busy week here around town. I'm playing out at The Loop on tuesday night at 7pm with a full band. It should be alot of fun. I've been jonesin' to do it again since we last played. I'll let you know how it goes. Peace out people.
